Smiths Aerospace is a first-tier supplier of integrated equipment and systems to defence and civil aircraft prime manufacturers and engine builders. Defence equipment accounts for 62 per cent of sales with the remainder coming from civil aircraft programmes. Smiths Aerospace has four business units:

• Electronic Systems – including flight and stores management systems and recording and analysis of voice, video, data and crew information and mission planning
• Mechanical Systems – the control and management of aircraft utilities outside the cockpit including flight controls, thrust reversers, landing gear and hydraulic systems
• Components – precision components from engine parts to aircraft structures
• Customer Services – product support and repairs for airframe constructors, airline operators and the military.

Our principal countries of manufacture and repair are the US, Canada and UK, and we also have repair facilities in Singapore and Australia.
