These areas are reflected in Smiths’ new divisional structure implemented in August 2003. Smiths operates as a decentralised business, with considerable autonomy and accountability afforded to our subsidiary companies. We are a public limited company, listed on the London Stock Exchange. Our customer base is broad and includes defence contractors, civil airline carriers, petrochemical manufacturers, telecommunications companies, hospitals and national governments.
